To help you select great teams to use for the Sim Auction player pool, here is a list of the most recent teams in history with 90 or more wins. If you download the list and sort by most wins you’ll notice that only 116 teams in MLB history have won 100 or more games in a season, a very exclusive club! When evaluating all these great teams, don’t just look at the total of wins, the run differential per game column can be more indicative of who truly was the most dominant team. The Pythagorean Wins expectation (last column) will give you an idea of what a team’s record should have been based on the amount of runs they scored and allowed. In other words, it will show you what teams got lucky and what teams under performed.
